Clinical Supervision, Consultation & Systemic Supervision Groups

Supervision offers a space to pause, reflect, and think more deeply about your work—especially when the complexity of practice, relationships, and systems can feel demanding both personally and professionally.

I have over 20 years’ experience providing clinical supervision to a wide range of professionals across NGOs, public mental health services, private practice, and counselling settings.

Alongside this, I have lectured and examined on the Postgraduate Certificate in Systemic Therapies at the University of Otago, developed and led reflecting family therapy teams within DHB services, and provided supervision to multidisciplinary teams, care and protection services, and advanced psychiatry trainees.

My approach to supervision

My supervision is grounded in systemic thinking and concepts, while also drawing on ideas from attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, acceptance and commitment therapy amongst others.

I aim to offer a space that feels thoughtful, collaborative, empowering and grounded in real-world practice—where your existing knowledge and experience are respected and built upon.

Together, we can:

  • reflect on your clinical work in a safe and supportive space

  • explore the relational dynamics between you and your clients

  • consider the ethical dimensions of practice, including power, culture, and difference

  • think about how your own experiences and context shape what you bring to your work

  • strengthen connections between theory and practice

  • navigate complexity, uncertainty, and professional dilemmas with greater clarity
